We got a late start to the game due to a wreck on the highway. We only ended up needing one table, which troubled me some as the last time we did a game day we had 16 people show up (including myself). There were 7 players along with me there. Ed packed up his stuff and came over to my table.
I ran “Elzemon and the Blood-Drinking Box”. I don’t want to give away too many spoilers but I will say we lost 3 characters at once on the stairway.
Those turned out to be the only characters of the day that we lost. We had a really good group. In the group, we had one guy who had never shown up for a DCC game before. He ended up being one of the people who walked away with an “I died” pin. He was a good sport about it. I had just enough “I died” and “I survived” pins that everyone got one. It actually worked out perfectly. I am a little worried about not having as many people, but we were having a big event in town that same day called Street Vibrations, so that may have contributed. I am hoping for a better turnout on October 15th. I will update with that report.
Before I go, though, here’s a picture of our intrepid party. Here is a gallery from the day if you’re interested.
